The Making of Wedding Balls

My aunt down in Georgia has been very busy making our flower balls (for the flower girls and aisle decoration).  Since Spring has sprung (at least in Georgia) great options for fake flowers were making their way onto store shelves.  We gave her some idea of what colors we working looking for and she sent us some sample photos over the weekend.  It's cool to see it all come together!

Here was her step-by-step:

She started with a 6 inch rubber ball covered with white fabric.

Ball.  Fabric.
She then gathered all of her "blooms" and her trusty glue gun.

Be careful.  Glue guns are HOT!
She then randomly placed the flowers, until she got the ideal flower placement.

Almost done!
She then secured some tulle or whatever (like I know!) so the flower girls can easily hold them while walking down the aisle.

Finished product.
These will also hang down the aisle.  I believe my mom is searching for shepards hooks.  I hoped we could just hang them off the end chairs, but after some research, we don't think the chairs we are using have a lip on the back of the chair that will secure the balls on.  Those balls apparently will also be larger.

So yay!  Flower Balls!  They look great and we didn't have to do (or pay for) them - that's a win in our book!
